PM Imran directs ERRA to expedite ongoing tasks


ISLAMABAD:

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday directed the Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) to expedite the tempo of the continued tasks to facilitate the general public.

He issued these directives whereas chairing a gathering to assessment the authority’s ongoing tasks associated to reconstruction and growth within the calamity-hit areas.

PM Imran was apprised that the organisation, since its inception in 2006, had accomplished 75 per cent of whole growth portfolio of 14,704 tasks, whereas 14 per cent have been underway.

The premier was additionally knowledgeable that at present, 885 tasks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 1,214 tasks in Azad Jammu and Kashmir have been underway.

Earlier, it was reported that ERRA could be subsumed into the Nationwide Catastrophe Administration Authority (NDMA)
